Dungeon Survivors

This game envisions you as a player inside an hardcore, procedural generated, zelda-like dungeon with combat similar to a souls-like, but with random generated skills to choose from after each level up. 

Development

It's still in an early, but playable stage. First I concentrate on the Gameloop and Combat Gameplay. Then add more and more playable characters (with different traits and perks), enemies, skills and objectives to complete in the dungeons.

Yes, I am thinking about a Multiplayer mode, so you can play with your friends. 

Assets

I am by no means a skilled artist, therefore I am using assets bought from the asset store on itch.io.

Devlog

I think I am going to start a devlog series of the development, as soon as I feel confident to do so. There are some devlogs and articles about my other Developments here: Marin GameDev (marin-gamedev.ghost.io).

Changelog

2022-12-01: Adds shadows to player and enemies and fixes offset issue with the skeleton sprite. 

2022-11-27: Implements first version of a fog, tweaks lighting and colors.

2022-11-24: Improves AI following player around edges. Boss room now has doors from all sides, not only one anymore. Generating dungeon happens in a background thread. Adds first version lighting to improve the mood.

2022-11-12: Improved behavior of the AI, e.g., it does not get stuck at corners, enemies are searching for a better position more often and also improved the performance.

2022-11-11: Added vigniette shader that reflects if player gets damage or heal. In addition add some balancing (e.g., buffed players' slash attack).

2022-11-08: Added Boss Room and a Room with a golden key to get into the Boss Room.
